Work is underway for the new Talk Fusion Animal Health and Wellness Center for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and A.D. Morgan Construction has selected Erwin Electric for the electrical scope of the project.
Dedicated to ending animal homelessness, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay was founded in 1912 and is one of the oldest animal rescue organizations in Florida. Last year, the center serviced more than 10,000 pets. With the opening of this new 10,493 square-foot facility the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will be able to provide affordable full-service veterinary care and low-cost spaying/neutering for twice that number of animals.
The modern design will enhance the West Tampa neighborhood, and floor plans include five pet examination rooms, a wellness clinic and laboratory, surgical rooms and a feral cat patio. Erwin Electric will provide and install all power systems, generator, grounding and surge suppression systems, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and smoke detection systems, and telephone and data systems. The new Animal Health Center will be located at 3809 N Armenia Avenue, just one block north of the shelter. There is a lot of excitement surrounding this 3.2 million dollar project that became possible due to a $1 million dollar donation from Brandon based company Talk Fusion. This is the largest donation the charity has ever received. The new center is expected to open in the fall 2012 just in time to celebrate the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s 100 year anniversary.
